INTEGRASI SAINS, TEKONOLOGI DAN NILAI ISLAM DALAM PENDIDIKAN MUHAMMADIYAH DI ERA ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

Abstract

The development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has brought significant changes to the field of education, including Islamic education. Muhammadiyah, as one of the largest Islamic educational organizations in Indonesia, has developed an educational system that integrates Islamic values with science and technology. This study aims to analyze the integration of science, technology, Islamic values, and the utilization of AI in Muhammadiyah education, as well as to formulate an integrative educational model for Muhammadiyah in the AI era. The study employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method based on the PRISMA framework, which includes the stages of identification, screening, eligibility assessment, and article inclusion. Data were collected from several academic databases, including Google Scholar, Scopus, DOAJ, and Garuda, covering publications from 2019 to 2026. The findings reveal that the integration of science and religion in Muhammadiyah education is grounded in the paradigm of tawhid, which views all knowledge as a unified entity originating from Allah SWT. This integration is implemented through the ISMUBA curriculum, learning processes that connect scientific concepts with Islamic values, and an Islamic academic culture that supports character development. Furthermore, AI has considerable potential to enhance personalized learning, educational media development, assessment processes, and teachers’ professional competencies. Based on the synthesis of the literature, an integrative Muhammadiyah education model in the AI era places tawhid values and Al-Islam and Kemuhammadiyahan (AIK) as its primary foundation, which are then integrated with science, technology, and the ethical use of AI to strengthen 21st-century competencies. This model aims to produce progressive Muslim individuals who are academically competent, adaptable to technological advancements, and possess strong moral integrity and spirituality.
