Kecerdasan Emosional Kepala Madrasah Dalam Membangun Kemitraan: Studi Kasus di MAS Miftahul Hidayah Gayam Lor, Botolinggo, Bondowoso

Abstract

The head of a madrasah holds a strategic role in leading and managing an educational institution toward effective and efficient educational goals, one of which is the ability to build partnerships with various stakeholders. Building effective partnerships requires not only intellectual capacity and managerial skills, but also adequate emotional intelligence. This study aims to (1) analyze the role of the madrasah head's emotional intelligence in building partnerships, and (2) identify and analyze strategies to enhance the effectiveness of the madrasah head's emotional intelligence in building partnerships at MAS Miftahul Hidayah, Gayam Lor, Botolinggo, Bondowoso. This study employed a qualitative descriptive approach using field research. Data were collected through passive participatory observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation, then analyzed descriptively. The findings show that self-awareness, emotional self-regulation, and social competence form the foundation for the madrasah head in building harmonious and productive partnerships with teachers, students, parents, and the community. Strategies for enhancing emotional intelligence include continuous self-reflection, strengthening empathetic communication, building collaborative networks with stakeholders, and fostering a conducive organizational climate. The study concludes that emotional intelligence is not merely a theoretical concept but a practical instrument that determines the success of madrasah heads in building strategic and sustainable partnerships to improve the quality of education.
